Dan ("DJ") Boone founded Northeast Slate in early 2006 as an in-home distributor of Newmont Slate.

When Newmont Slate expanded from producer and quarrier of slate since 1963, to direct sales in 2005, Northeast Slate began selling direct from the quarry to the customer.  With access to substantial inventories, Northeast Slate is able to offer dramatically reduced delivery times and the most competitive prices in the industry.  These factors, combined with Dan’s knowledge of slate and deep-routed relationships in the Slate Valley enabled Northeast Slate to experience rapid growth in its first two years of operation.

Building upon his early success and sustaining future growth, Dan expanded his product line servicing landscaping and structural applications.
